Our story

Microtec Background

Microtec GmbH is the gold standard in micronization and ultra fine powder production. Its founder, Josef Fischer, known as the “father of size reduction technology” has pioneered challenging applications such as HP inkjet and laser jet toner particle technology, Stealth Bomber reflective coatings, and time-release pharmaceutical particle size and shape-control technology.

For the past 40 years, Josef Fisher has perfected ambient and cryogenic milling technologies for high-value, hard-to-process feedstocks like chemicals, minerals, polymers, resins, and engineered compounds. His work ensures precise control of particle size distribution, shape, surface area, bulk density, and morphology, enabling seamless incorporation of these materials into virgin compounds, mixes, and composites compatible with existing manufacturing systems.

The Future of Microtec

Microtec is now focusing on the waste-to-value sector, using its expertise to recover, recapture, and up-cycle difficult and problematic feedstocks using its proprietary Cryogenic/Ambient UTM Turbo Mill and air classifier technology.
